He would like to "enclose" the space between the patio door to the house and the pool with Plexiglass and install a sliding door. the area needs to be framed and the plexiglass and door installed. We would like this project completed within a week.

Remove leaking electric water heater and then install a new one. If you have done this before it should be fairly easy to do.
