My name is Keith Huston, founder and owner of Handyman Direct home services. I am a Richmond native and Virginia Commonwealth University graduate. The concept of Handyman Direct ultimately evolved more out of necessity than forethought. After college and well into a career in Hospitality Management I was propositioned by a good friend to help renovate an investment property. My friend was having a difficult time getting contractors to return her calls, let alone show up as scheduled, and asked me if I would be interested in taking on the projects. Like so many times before I had heard of peoples frustrations with trying to find a good and dependable contractor, as you may well have experienced yourself. So I dove headfirst into that business venture, and after eight years and countless home improvement projects later I haven't looked back.
