In addition to caulking doors and windows,
Caulk/seal the tongue and groove joints where the 2x tongue and groove extends beyond the last rafter (this is the most common area that builders overlook);
Corner joints might need to be caulked.
If job well done, we need staining of 1k deck in early spring (April) .
