Business Information: precast concrete facility and we make mostly retaining wall blocks Business address: 5131 Buehler Line, Suite RR#1, Wallenstein, ON, N0B 2S0 Work location: Same as above Type of Employment: Full Time - Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job Description: Record manufacturing information such as quantity, size and type of goods produced Set up, adjust and operate single-function machines to mix, drill, grind and cut concrete to specifications Build and repair wooden frames used to mould concrete products Check products for quality control Move products using forklift, crane or hydraulic hoist Operate machines to grind and polish surfaces of stone blocks, slabs or other stone products to specific shape or design and to produce a smooth finish Position reinforcing rods or wire mesh in moulds Fill moulds with concrete Read blueprint, schemas and drawings Operate vibrating tables to settle concrete Tamp concrete using electric vibrator Remove castings from moulds Finish surfaces of castings using screed or trowel Requirements Education: Some secondary education is required Experience: Experience is an asset. On-the-job training will be provided G1 Driver’s license is required Work conditions and Physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks, Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling. Personal suitability: Accurate, Dependability, Reliability, Hardworking, Team player. Work Site Environment: Dusty, Noisy, Odours. Weight handling: More than 45 kg (100 lbs) Language: English is required. Salary: $26.21 hourly, 30 – 50 hours per week. Benefits: Bonus. Transportation costs covered if worker needs to relocate. Accommodation available at a cost. Important Information. Flexibility on schedule is require. The worker will work from Monday to Friday, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
