Handyman Job in Halifax, Nova Scotia

We currently have an opportunity on our team for an experienced Service Technician. The successful candidate must possess the following skills and qualifications. Responsibilities: · Reporting to the Customer Service Manager · Communication through email and/or phone · Carry out interim service work for new home construction · Organize and complete year end service work for new construction · Assist in completing deficiencies during construction · Respond to emergency requests · Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware · Drywall patching and painting · Maintain & repair homes · General maintenance and/or painting · All other duties as required Qualifications: · 3-5 years experience in a similar role · Carpentry and the ability to use several tools · Drywall patching and painting skill essential · Minor electrical and plumbing experience · General trades experience · Time management, multi-tasking and organizational skills. · Ability to work as a team, and under minimal supervision · Ability to communicate, written and verbal · Basic e-mail and phone capabilities · Effective proven skills and experience · Renovations experience an asset · Problem solving abilities · Attention to detail · Valid driver’s license In this hands-on role, the successful candidate will be providing after homeowner move-in care service, coordinating and undertaking defects and warranty related repairs, ensuring quality control.
