I've got a large porch swing daybed, the size of a twin mattress, ready to be hung on the porch. Problem is my porch ceiling is beadboard and I don't know how to properly install it. It also needs to mount to 4 hooks in the ceiling. I'm thinking part of the beadboard will need to be removed to mount the hooks to the joists. New 2x6 or 2x8 might need to be added if the joists aren't in the perfect spot. I have no idea, this is just what I've read online.
