Handyman Job in Chicago, Illinois

We are looking for a competent and reliable Handyman with a minimum of 3 years of experience using power tools, electrical equipment and hardware materials. And capable of performing a variety of tasks including general repair, assembly, installation, carpentry, tile work, drywall, electrical, plumbing, and similar work at our commercial and residential job sites. You will work on a one-to-one basis and receive instruction from our architects, interior designers, and project manager. Responsibilities: Preventative building Maintenance Maintaining Building cleanliness, Sweep, Mop, and dispose of trash. Minor Repairs and general building upkeep Keeping stairwells, hallways, and sidewalk clean and safe Painting Skills: Proven experience as a handyman Ability to change locks as needed Ability to do minor roof and roof drain repairs Ability to fix minor electrical work Ability to replace light fixtures and bulbs Ability to repair sheetrock and other minor interior jobs Ability to Buff, Strip, And Wax floors as needed general building system knowledge Ability to use basic phone and computer functions Available 24/7 (in case of emergency) Low-pressure steam system knowledge Ability to replace valves, steam traps ect: Basic plumbing skills: snaking pipes, change faucets, knowledge of boilers to troubleshoot when needed Handyman Good communication skills Email Proficient Well-organized and apt in problem-solving Attention to detail
