Handyman in Sierra Vista, Arizona

Hello: I've never written a review on this site before before but I felt compelled to. My name is Jason. I'm a third year medical resident going into anesthesia and bought a home here in Florida. While it was a rather nice home it was a foreclosure and needed some repairs. Being new to Florida I didn't know anyone here. I also had an issue; I was in the middle of flying all over the country for residency interviews and had three dogs who had no yard.... and were only doggy-door trained....and were thus destroying my house. Out of desperation I put an ad up on Craigslist looking for some handyman to install a custom doggy door and fence. Some of the bids I had were outrageous and most people did not show up. Then I received an email from Sarah (Gary's wife) offering his services...and Gary and his business partner showed up.....I told them I had to leave the next morning for a job interview and thus really needed the doggy door installed that night so the dogs could take care of themselves while I was gone. Let me say I've never been impressed by such work ethic before; these two gentleman were up until midnight installing it for me (it had reinforced concrete and took much longer than expected). The price they charged me was amazing and better than anyone else would have offered. Needless to say since them I've used them for almost everything in my home: I've had them re-tile my upstairs (destroyed by the dogs) and dining room; repaint the dining room, epoxy my garage (and they organized it extremely well), re-do fence work and create a dog run for my dogs; solve my ant problem, replace a garbage disposal and the subsequent ruined base board underneath and install an inside door in the second floor of home. Gary is an extremely hard and talented worker; and also a charmer and true pleasure to work with. His business partner Ray is a perfectionist and one of the most technically gifted men I've met. They've done an awesome job on all the jobs so far and certainly have raised the value of my home. They're the first group of workers I've felt comfortable to let work in my home when I'm not around. I've recommended them to others who also have been very pleased with their work. If you're looking for the classic, honest, small American start up business company...that brings with it the hard work and dedication without corporate influence (and awesome pricing) this crew is your best best. 6 out of 5 stars.
