Handyman Job in Charleston, South Carolina

We are looking for a reliable Handyman to undertake upkeep & repair tasks at the interior and exterior of our local Stokes Automotive Dealerships. The Handyman will be responsible for keeping our stores in impeccable condition. The person in this position will need to have skillful hands and practical knowledge of general repair skills. We value attention to detail and resilience. Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3-years’ experience as a handyman or maintenance technician, including a minimum of 1-year electrical experience. Workloads will vary and may include commercial or residential maintenance, electrical maintenance, and could include remodeling certain areas when applicable. Some weekend work may be required. Work structure is not typical and the right candidate will need experience in several areas. Essential Duties: • Perform maintenance & light repairs outing and inside of all Stokes dealerships. • Ability to troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and determine extent of necessary repairs. • Paint and dry wall • Repair equipment or appliances. • Perform electrical, plumbing, refrigeration or HVAC repairs. • Undertake duties as assigned or emergency tasks. • Identify & report the need for major repairs. Responsibilities: • Proven experience as a commercial handyman. • Must have own transportation and tools. • Experience with Automotive Dealerships is a plus. • Experience with hardware, tools & electrical equipment. • Concrete understanding of electrical, plumbing, refrigeration or HVAC systems. • Excellent math skills. • Excellent communication skills. • Well-organized & apt in problem-solving. • Attention to detail. REQUIREMENTS: • Must have current Driver's License and clean driving record. • Must have own tools, good references, and a positive attitude. • Must have experience in the remodeling or commercial repair trades. • Must pass all screening processes. • Must have a smart phone, access to the internet.
