Also, the worker will be required to travel for tradeshows, events, etc. to different venues around the Lower Mainland Southwest Region of BC. Type of Employment: Full time–Permanent Estimated Start Date: As soon as possible Job duties: • Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment • Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products • Pick orders and stock • Weigh materials and goods • Make labels and attach to goods • Wrap goods • Pack and unpack goods • Sort, crate and stack goods • Install, lash and secure good • Store cargo and materials • Transport and distribute materials and goods • Organize and maintain inventory • Record all shipments and deliveries of exhibitor freight • Ensure expeditious turnaround of all show material • Operate computerized inventory control systems • Hazardous products handling and storage • Build pallets • Ship orders • Provide customer service • Assist with the installation of trade shows, conventions exhibits and all other special events that we service throughout the province • Operate industrial trucks, tractors, loaders and other equipment to transport materials to and from transportation vehicles and loading docks and to store and retrieve materials in warehouse. • Drive materials from Surrey warehouse to other venues • Assist exhibitors during move-in • Assist with the dismantling of trade shows, conventions exhibits and all other special events • Maintain warehouse and yard in a neat, orderly fashion Requirements -Education: Some secondary school is required -Experience: Experience is an asset. We will train. -Driver’s License – Class 5 minimum, Class 3 preferred with a clean abstract is required. We need the workers to drive materials from the Surrey warehouse to other job sites in the Lower Mainland Southwest Region of BC. In January, February, March, July, August and December normal hours are Monday – Friday from 8:30 – 4:30. In April, May, June, September, October and November the hours per week increase and there will be more weekend work. Flexibility in schedule is required. Overtime needed. -Worker will be required to work out of the region 4 to 5 times annually to serve locations where a hotel room will be required.
