Although the company is young, I have over 10 years of experience in the various construction trades, with another 60 years of skills passed on from my grandfather to my father and I. The Suarez family history in the skilled trades begins with my grandfather Rene Suarez, a carpenter, and Cuban immigrant. During the Cuban revolution of the 1950's, my grandfather would build furniture with hidden compartments to help hide weapons and other smuggled items in an effort to help "the cause". When he realized "the cause" was actually to help Communism succeed, he quit fighting, was forced to give up his carpentry shop and work in a forced labor camp until he was freed and could immigrate to America in 1970. Once in the states, he was determined to gain back everything he had lost. He worked as a carpenter, as well as a jack of all trades, until his passing in 2008. His will to succeed, as well as his determination and desire to put out the best product he could is the foundation of every piece of work we do, and the true meaning of "Suarez Quality" as we strive to carry on his legacy!
