Handyman in Augusta, Georgia

I'm an
Individual
Recently un-employed Maintence Tech/On-Site Manager for a small town home community... as job title suggests, losing my job meant losing my home. (Currently 7 days PAST 30 day written notice to vacate.) Will accept any wage initially w/ immediate room. I am a hard worker, have held many titles & can do just about anything.....confident enough to face new jobs/tasks. I'm 34 yrs old, divorced, have 3 children that live with my ex-wife. Im down to earth, honest, willing to help others & believe a hard earned living is more rewarding than a quick dollar followed by a lavish, meaningless lifestyle. I'm very clean, organized & respectful in my work as well as personal life. I am equally respectful of other's personal life. I don't require any unnecessary amenities, I'm usually "still working" at the end of the day on a personal projects, ideas, etc. I like to draw, put ideas to paper or tell ya about my idea & see what you think... outside lookin in. I can be an asset in alot of ways if needed... I can cook, clean (OCD admit), do yard work, plant flowers, use a needle & thread, etc. You name it, I can do it & if I haven't before, be determined just so I can do it better next time. I'd rather be outside than in... Unfortunately I do not own a vehicle or have a DL but eager to earn them back. I do smoke cigarettes, but not indoors, even as a smoker I prefer not to smoke indoors or vehicles. I dont pollute my used filters on the property. You'll see that my pros will make my few cons negligible. Give me a call or text me if you need more info or references from previous employers or personal references. Thank you for your consideration & in advance for any opportunities offered. ? -Ty Cox (706) 25... Currently in N. Aug. SC hoping to avoid possible eviction...Willing to move... Just need an opportunity.

I hired Ty almost 10 years ago to clean up my yard as it had been neglected for years. He was really enthusiastic about cleaning up a plain old yard. Which seemed odd for a young man to me. .I figured I would probably get what I paid for which was $10/hr from a kid in his 20's. .... What I got was MUCH more. When I returned home that evening yard my yard was clean, clear & conditioned in a way it was undescribable... I was impressed. I promptly paid him, shook his hand, told him he did a great job & to enjoy his evening. Also i would tell my neighbors about his work & give them his number.... He stopped me, "Mr. Canty look at this, what do you think?" ....presented me with a drawing of his ideas for landscaping, new entrance to driveway that looked better & allowed easier access to my mail box, other "curb appeal" ideas & minor changes to my hedgerow. I smiled , told him again he did a great job & that his vision for my yard was very impressive... But I simply couldn't afford anything like that right now e specially since I had just purchased the home. Expressed my gratitude and wished I could have paid him more for his cleanup & detail.. His enthusiasm never quit, his face lit up, "Oh, no Mr. Canty; ill do it for the same rate as my cleanup.".. I thought maybe he didn't think about the cost of material needed to do the job. --- He came back the following day with his truck full of random used material....Asked if I would let him work another 12hr day @ same rate as his cleanup ($10/hr) that he would present one of his ideas when i returned from work at the end of the day... I couldn't say no, hell the kid probably needed $100 a little more than i did... I smiled, said ok. End of the day I came home to see him grining from ear to ear watching me enter my own drivway like I had completely missed my house and was somewhere else. "Not bad, right Mr. Canty?, do you like it? Nice curb appeal, right?" -- needless to say I let him finish working out the rest of his plan for my yard for the next couple weeks. Offered him work for the rest of the summer if he wanted to earn a little more. He accepted it..... Here we are ten yrs later he is the first man I call for anyrhing. I wish I had the means to keep him busy, he really is a talented youmg man.
